Growing brains want to explore, investigate, have imaginative adventures! Hocus Pocus Play is all about encouraging the imagination and using the senses. It’s also about giving parents and carers somewhere to relax and unwind with excellent coffee and delicious food for all the family.

Your safety and comfort is our top priority, so we clean the whole place thoroughly after each play session.

We have a maximum occupancy to 40 people (adults + children) in the play area, so you know that there is still space for social distancing. There is also the option to book a private play session without other groups if you prefer.

All our equipment is designed to get children thinking, imagining and using their senses. There are lots of interactive things to do, sensory equipment to enjoy and different spaces to explore.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A VISIT

  • CONCEPT

Hocus Pocus Play is a bit different to the majority of play areas. We think of it as interactive play because it combines elements of sensory, educational, and imaginative play to engage little brains.

  • IMAGINATION

The Fairy Tale House, cave and woodland settings encourage imagination. Kids love making up their own games in our little house.

  • SENSORY

Lights, colours, sounds, air jets, and bubbles… but not too much at once.

  • INTERACTIVE

Lots to interact with – puzzles and games, ball mazes, buttons to press to change the colours of the lights and the sound effects.

  • SURROUNDINGS

In addition to this we have tried to make the play area as pleasant as possible for parents and carers, with natural light, lots of seating, and a great range of food and drink.

When the weather is clement there is a lovely garden with a lake view where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and cake. Indoors there are special seating areas for the kids so they can socialise with their friends while they eat if they don’t want to sit with their family.

By far the best play area I’ve ever been to, and we’ve been to a lot. There are so many things to explore and I love the interactive play. It’s very, very well designed. The menu is lovely and food is good. We spent a good 3 hours there and my 3 years old didn’t want to leave. Even my 5 month old enjoyed it.

Lovely little place, especially for kids with sensory needs. Our son loves it here, there’s lots of places for him to hide when he gets overwhelmed.
