Is This Soft Play?

Hocus Pocus Play is a bit different to the majority of play areas. We think of it as interactive play – as it combines elements of sensory, educational, and imaginative play to engage little brains.

Although we do have some areas that are padded for comfort and safety, Hocus Pocus Play is NOT a soft play centre. This means that there are some non-padded areas – so we advise that children bring soft, clean shoes/slippers or anti-slip socks to protect their feet, and also that parents and carers supervise their children to make sure they are not behaving in a way that will result in injury to themselves or another child.

Do I Need To Take My Shoes Off?

As this isn’t soft play soft shoes, slippers or anti-slip socks should be worn. If you prefer to wear shoes we ask that you bring a separate clean pair to keep the play area pleasant for everyone.

Can We Buy Food And Drink?

A wide range of food and drink can be purchased from Magic Beans Cafe and consumed in the seating area of Hocus Pocus Play. There is a large menu to cater for all ages – whether you are looking for finger food, big breakfasts or a tasty lunch – and the food is freshly prepared by the cafe staff. There is also a delicious range of cakes and ice cream.

Any food must be purchased from the cafe as we don’t allow people to bring their own (with the exception of baby’s bottles). Just order from the counter.

How Many Children Can You Admit At Once

For the duration of the Coronavirus outbreak we are admitting a maximum of 18 children, usually we limit entry to 25. We are also working on extending the play area in the next few months and we will be able to take more at that point. We try to limit the number coming in at any one time to a level that is comfortable so everyone can have fun.
