We are planning to re-open our play area on Wednesday 19th May and look forward to seeing you all! As before, you will need to book your visit in advance using our online system – this will be available soon.

Due to current Coronavirus lockdown our play area and cafe are temporarily closed. We look forward to having you back soon and will make further announcements here and on social media as the situation develops.

Dear Lovely Customers,

Given the latest advice on social distancing we will be closing the play area with immediate effect. We are very sad to have to do this, but everyone’s health is the most important concern.

If you have future bookings with us we will be in touch shortly to arrange a refund, just bear with us for a few days while we get organised. We are all going to take the weekend off and have a well earned rest.

We will miss the smiley little faces and hope to be open again as soon as it is safe to do so.

Our lovely customers and staff are the heart and soul of our business and we understand the necessity of working together to protect the most vulnerable people in our community. Therefore we thought we would let you know what precautions we are taking to reduce the risks from Covid-19, whilst keeping the fun.

We have a wonderful team of cleaners who give the whole place a very thorough clean every day and all our staff are well trained in hygiene. We have decided to close at 4pm each day to allow time to do extra cleaning of the toys and books and we will also be closed on the next two Mondays to allow us to do additional maintenance.

We already restrict the number of children we allow in at once and have temporarily reduced this further to only 18 children at a time. We will also open up extra seating in the party space when it isn’t in use to give customers additional room to spread out.

As the advice changes frequently at the moment we will continue to review all our plans and will keep you posted!

Dear Lovely Customers,

Although our play area remains closed for the time being, we are delighted to be able to welcome you back to the café.

The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority, and so we have been working hard to ensure you have a safe and relaxing visit.

Social distancing –We have opened up the garden with new under cover seating, with views of the lake.  We have also reduced the number of tables in the café to allow 2 meter distancing, and we have created partitions on the veranda.

Table service –  We ask all customers to remain at their table as much as possible and keep children with them.  To allow us to do a thorough clean of each table area after use it would help us if customers could book in advance.  You can book a table by phoning us on 01285 711606.

Games menu – To entertain adults and kids alike we have introduced games that can be played at the table and cleaned after each use.  Choose from classics such as snakes and ladders or hoopla.

Food menu – Our menu will be changing slightly to help us be more efficient, but while some items are temporarily being removed from the menu we are also adding some exciting new items – like our new ice cream sundaes and Pippin doughnuts!  The new menu can be viewed at https://www.magicbeanscafe.co.uk/food.

For everyone’s safety our serving staff will be wearing masks and undertaking extra cleaning of all frequent touch points.  We have thoroughly reviewed our hygiene processes in light of the current situation.  Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance for customer use.
